The next Mega Flare…and how I stayed out of hospital.
I’m out and about but not feeling my best. When and how will I get well?
What recovery looks like…
My plan to recover from my UC flare and what my body has just been through... SPRING.
What the f**k just happened? (part 2)
I could hardly walk in to A&E I was so weak. I lie collapsed on Ben waiting to be seen. The triage nurse took me straight in to a room, bloods, IV drip and we were off. I just slept. Tests through the night and eventually on the ward.
What the f**k just happened? (part 1)
Crikey, what a whirlwind. 5 days ago I was discharged after 3 weeks in hospital with an ulcerative colitis flare and other complications…writing this is genuinely going to help me process it all, indulge me.
The cost of sickness.
It’s been 3 months since I was hospitalised with my UC (Ulcerative Colitis) flare and today I’m celebrating being off steroids. Yesterday was my last pill. I don’t like drugs and I was afraid to take them but they did me good and I am grateful they calmed down my inflammation.
A holly jolly Christmas.
It’s been a hard couple of weeks since my last blog. It’s been 5 weeks since I was discharged from hospital and just 3 weeks since my colonoscopy that confirmed my flare and the progression of my disease seven fold since my last colonoscopy.
We’re in this together.
