If you have a gut and you’re not making a conscious choice to look after it. You’re making a huge mistake.
Gut health put simply is…
-
Nutrition
No need for fancy meal plans. If you can eat a portion of greens, berries and fibre daily - that’s a short cut to gut health, disease fighting and general good health. If you want to know more tweaks you can make to max gut health…visit the nutrition section of this site.

Sleep
8 hours of sleep a night. That’s the rule. You won’t always get it, no shame here, but striving for it and it is key for de-toxing and keeping inflammation at bay. A nice little bedtime routine and enough space in your day for you will stop the late night scroll and get you tucked in for that vital sleep.

Movement
Exercise ticks all boxes: mental health, physical health and gut health. Proven to decrease inflammation, help digestion and aide your sleep you can see why this makes our list. A simple walk (add nature for a bonus point), an at home somatic workout, or weights at the gym, these are our favourite all round movements to avoid over-stressing the body and improve bone health too.
-
Stress
We’re laughing with you. Life is stressful and reducing stress is such a generic statement. But it can be achieved. Our favourite tactics: daily movement, 5 mins meditation in the morning and journalling. When life gets stressful, get it out. Journal a list of everything that’s stressful in your life *no one ever has to see this list. And cut. Ruthlessly cut those stressors out. You’ll think it can’t be done but if you don’t do it now, your body may do it for you at some point.

Allergies and Intollerance
All the while you are eating things that your body doesn’t want, you’re weakening your gut and inflaming your body. Long term this will = disease. Grab a simple online test - they post out to you, you post back with some saliva. You’ll change your insides and how you feel every day with these small changes.

Supplements
Pretty much everyone needs: magnesium, zinc, L-Glutamine, b12, vit d and vit c to make your gut function properly (and supports brain health too!)
And most of us are constipated…taking a laxative daily is safe and supports your body - talk to your doc.
